Coach & Bus Hire
Coach and bus operators will get a bespoke financial scheme worth a total of £5m that will be based on the number of buses in a firm’s fleet.
More information on this scheme is intended to be released over the next few weeks.
Subject to meeting the necessary criteria each operator will receive an amount of £8,000 for their first vehicle and £4,450 for each additional vehicle. This funding will contribute to their overhead costs, subject to being able to prove loss of income and the need for financial support. This will be capped at up to £100,000 for each operator. In addition to this fees have also been waived for the renewal of bus vehicle licenses.
