Ambition to Grow | Supporting Women Programme
Empowering Northern Ireland’s Women-Led Businesses
Is your business led by a woman in a key decision-making role? Invest Northern Ireland, in partnership with Women in Business NI, has launched the Ambition to Grow | Supporting Women programme to support the region’s most innovative and ambitious women-led start-ups and small businesses.
This programme offers the opportunity for Northern Ireland-based, women-led businesses to compete for funding of up to £30,000. It is designed to help businesses grow by creating new jobs, driving innovation, and expanding into markets outside Northern Ireland.
By joining this programme, participants will also benefit from building valuable connections with other like-minded businesswomen.

Support Available
Eligible participants can receive up to £30,000 in funding, broken down as follows:
- £10,000 towards new employment within the business
- £10,000 for business development (market, product, or skills growth)
- £10,000 after completing an Export Health Check, Export Marketing Plan, Innovate NI Self-Assessment, and Leadership Development workshops
Participants also have the opportunity to network with other women entrepreneurs.

Who Can Apply?
The programme is open to women-led businesses based in Northern Ireland that meet the following criteria:
- A product or service with potential for sales outside Northern Ireland
- A demonstrated capacity to create new jobs within the business
- A clear need for government support
- An annual turnover under £1 million or external sales less than £300,000
